Red Dot Corporation, the leading producer of premium mobile HVAC units and components for heavy-duty commercial and military vehicles, is recruiting for the following position:

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Facilities Manager

Department: Facilities

Shift 1 (Days)

Monday-Friday: 6:30AM to 5:15PM

JOB SUMMARY:

Ensures that machinery and facilities are kept in good repair and working order.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Maintains tools and machinery in good condition.

Uses all tools carefully as instructed.

Installs new machinery and equipment.

Understands electricity fundamentals.

Requirements

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:

A technician may be stronger in some of the following skills while less in others. The individual should however bring strong proficiency in at least one of the following.

1.  Works as an electrician troubleshooting and repairing electrical problems and by making modifications to machinery and facilities.
2.  Works as a plumber/pipe fitter installing and performing repair to pipes, fittings and fixtures of air, water and hydraulic systems.
3.  Acts as a carpenter in the alteration, repair and maintenance of buildings, floors, roofs, stairways, partitions, doors, windows, screens, scaffolding forms, wood fixtures and furniture.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs such other duties as may be assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

1.  Ability to read electrical, hydraulic and building schematic plans.
2.  Ability to do minor repair welding and fabrication.
3.  Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical and construction equipment.
4.  Ability to read, write and follow detailed written and oral instructions.
5.  Ability to work at heights.
6.  Ability to work independently.
7.  Ability to withstand the physical demands including occasional heave lifting.
8.  Ability to work evenings and weekends occasionally.

Salary Grade** for this role is as follows:

Min: $24.00/hour

Mid: $27.00/hour

Max: $30.00/hour
